Each SoftLayer customer account contains a variety of account-specific contacts that are used in association with services available on the account, such as image publishing (CDN) or SOC. These contacts should be completed and up-to-date in the event that an inquiry is required. Account Contacts should reflect the appropriate person that should be contacted for each type of request. There may be multiple contact entries for each account, but only one contact will exist for each type of service. Please note, account-specific contact information does not include the Account Profile, which is the primary contact information associated with an account. To update your primary contact information, refer to Request an Account Profile Change. Follow the steps below to add or edit an Account Contact.
Add or Edit an Account Contact
- Access the Customer Portal using your unique credentials.
- Select Company Contacts from Manage under the Account drop down menu.
- Enter or update the contact information for the desired Contact Type.
Note: Contact information should be the desired person for inquiries regarding the specific type of contact that will be made, indicated by the Contact Type. If unsure of an appropriate contact, please verify prior to its update.
- Click the Save button when all updates have been completed.
What Happens Next
After submitting the new contact information, the Account Contact(s) will be updated immediately. Additional changes may be made at any time by repeating the steps above.
