After adding a Service Group to a Load Balancer, its Basic Settings (including Balancing Method and Virtual Port), Connection Allocation and Notes may be edited at any time. Edits to each Service Group are immediately visible and additional edits may be made at any time. If the Group Type for a Service Group needs to be changed, the Service Group must be deleted and a new Service Group must be added that reflects the desired Group Type. Follow the steps below to edit an existing Service Group for a Load Balancer.
Edit a Service Group
- Access the Details screen for the desired Load Balancer on the Customer Portal. Refer to Access a Load Balancer's Details Screen.
- Click the dropdown arrow on the left for the desired Service Group to open the Service Group for edits.
Note: Each Service Group actionable items are listed in the top right corner directly across from the Service Group's name.
- Update the Service Group as desired. Refer to the table below for more information.
Field Edit Information Balancing Method Select the desired Balancing Method from the Balancing Method drop down list. Virtual Port Enter the desired Port Number in the Virtual Port field. Connection Allocation (This Group %) Enter the desired Connection Allocation percentage for the Service Group in the This Group (%) field.
Note: The sum of all percentages is displayed as the Allocation Total, which must equal 100% at all times.
Notes Enter any applicable notes that may be relevant for the Service Group in the Notes field.
- Click the Save Configuration button to update the Service Group. Click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
What Happens Next
Edits to the Service Group will be reflected on the Details screen under the associated Group. If a change was made to the Connection Allocation, additional edits for other Service Groups may be necessary. If a change was made to the Routing Method, services associated with the Group may require additional edits to align with the new Routing Method. Additional edits to the Service Group may be made at any time by repeating the steps above.
