A dedicated load balancer must always be upgraded by our networking team and is initiated by a ticket to our support staff.
Once a ticket is created a time frame for maintenance will be scheduled with you. Although no downtime is expected in a high availability configuration it is recommended to schedule maintenance during off hours for your infrastructure.
When the upgrade is performed the slave system will be upgraded first and all updates will be confirmed before proceeding. The slave system will then take over traffic while the master is upgraded. After the master has been upgraded and all updates have been confirmed the master will again take over for processing traffic.
