Network Gateways are given unique names that assist users in their identification. At any time, a Gateway name may be changed. We recommend using a consistent naming convention to more easily identify Gateways. Follow the steps below to rename a Network Gateway.
Rename a Gateway
- Access the Gateway Appliance Details screen in the Customer Portal. Refer to Access the Gateway Appliance Details Screen.
- Click the Settings Cog at the top of the screen and select Rename Gateway.
- Enter the new Gateway Name in the Gateway Name field.
- Click the OK button to save the change. Click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
What Happens Next
After changing a Gateway Appliance's name, the name will immediately change at the top of the Gateway Appliance Details screen and the change will be present on the Gateway Appliance screen the next time it is accessed. The Gateway name may be changed again at any time by repeating the steps above.
