Reset the SoftLayer Customer Portal Password

If you have lost or need to reset your password:

  • For users in accounts that do NOT use IBM id for authentication, click the lost password link on the customer portal login page. Once you have clicked the "Reset Password" link, you will be prompted for your username, this must match what is currently on file. Once submitted, you will be emailed a link to reset your password which will be valid for 24 hours. You will be required to select and answer three security questions. If you fail to answer the security questions within five tries, the reset password form will be locked for 15 minutes, before you can try again.
  • For users in accounts that use IBM id for authentication go to your IBM id profile and reset/recover the password following the instructions under "Sign In".
