Vyatta OS Upgrades

Upgrading the Vyatta operating system can be performed by using the "add system image" and using a local ISO file uploaded by our Support team.

A list of available Vyatta upgrade versions can be obtained from us via the Support ticket system.

NOTE: If you are using Vyatta in a gateway high availability pair, we recommend that you upgrade the current BACKUP machine and verify that it is working properly, access the MASTER and fail it over with "reset vrrp" then upgrade the remaining machine once the other machine has taken control.

An example upgrade process is shown below.

vyatta@vyatta01:~$ add system image /tmp/vyatta-vrouter-5400_6.7R12_amd64.iso
