Windows 2012 R2 iSCSI fix to see more than two devices

If you are only seeing two devices max in Disk Manager, then you'll need to manually connect to each device in iSCSI Initiator on every server node.  If you are using more than two iSCSI devices, you will more than likely have to use this procedure; especially if all 4 iSCSI allotments are from the same NetApp device.

  1. Open the Windows iSCSI Initiator.

  2. Click the Targets tab, then click Devices... on the bottom of the page.

  3. Notice there are only two devices shown even though 4 were authorized.

  4. To fix this, click Targets, then Connect.

  5. Select Multipath, then Advanced.

  6. Select Microsoft iSCSI Initiator as the Local Adapter.  The Initiator IP sould be your server IP.  Select the first of the IPs that are shown under Target Portal IP.  NOTE:  You will have to do this as many times as you have IPs showing.

  7. Select the Enable CHAP box, and put in the server's CHAP IP and Password for the SoftLayer Storage Authorization page.

  8. Click OK.

  9. Repeat steps 5-8 for every IP you entered in the iSCSI Initiator.  Once you have done that, click the Devices tab and review the results.  You should now see every LUN you setup listed twice.  Click OK.

  10. Open Disk Manager and verify that your drives are now showing.
